ICP - Mass Spectrometry
The main advantages of Ultra Trace's Perkin-Elmer Elan 6000 ICP Mass Spectrometers are very low detection limits (which are comparable or better than carbon rod AAS) and a wide range of elements can be analysed. Greatly improved stability is obtained, producing good precision down to detection limits.
The ICP- Mass Spectrometers are capable of analysing many elements making it suitable for geochemical exploration suites such as Platinoids, Rare Earth elements and very low level golds. It is also capable of producing isotopic abundance measurements.
