Partial Digest - Dilute HCI
This dilute acid leach targets the amorphous coatings on mineral grains. Detection limits are very low and in general, all elements will be present in detectable quantities. Detection limits may be influenced by the nature of the samples (eg High Iron, Calcium etc) . Other elements may be included if relevant, including all of the rare earths. Confidence in the technique is reinforced when a number of elements that exhibit similar geochemistry, show enhancement in a particular area. This technique is often coupled with the "Micro Cyanide Leach" which provides a more stable Gold result at low levels.
