Total Combustion Analyser
Ultra Trace has a Total Combustion Carbon & Sulphur analyser manufactured in Western Australia by Labfit Pty Ltd. This instrument is of the resistively heated, open tube design in which the furnace is normally run at 1400 degrees Celsius. Carbon compounds are combusted to Carbon Dioxide and Sulphur compounds to Sulphur Dioxide. These gases are then individually measured in Infrared absorption cells to determine concentration of the elements in the sample.
